We docked in Copenhagen, the capital and most populous city in Denmark. We took a tour that covered the major attractions of the city. Our first stop was of course, “The Little Mermaid” and then venturing on to the royal family residences, Amalienbourg, where there are 4 large buildings around a large square and in the back of the square is the Frederikskirke or Marble Church. After some more touring we went to the Parliament Building, the Christianborg Palace. Here we went in to view some of the reception rooms and the original Flora Danica plates. We then went to the Tivoli Gardens, and then on to a canal boat ride which eventually took us back to the pier where our ship as docked.
