We docked in Aqaba, Jordan and ventured out to Wadi Rum, a vast dry riverbed surrounded by sandstone hills and desert. We took a bus for an hour and a half and then transferred to four wheel drive pickup trucks where we sat in the back on benches with padded cushions. The two hour trip took us past vast sand dunes, camels, and amazing rock formations. Halfway through the Wadi we stopped at a Bedouin camp for tea and again at another camp at the end of the trip. We then went to see an old working steam train that is now used for tourists before returning to Aqaba were we were overnight.
