We tendered in Slawi Bay outside Komodo Island in Indonesia to visit the National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the famed Komodo dragon that reside there. We took a tender to the pier which was 200 meters long, which we walked to shore. At the end of the pier there were 2 deer and a dragon on the beach. We then entered under the gateway into park where we were guided by rangers to a spot where we saw 4 very large dragons, that were about 10 feet in length. At the end of the tour we had to run the gauntlet of the local vendors selling their wares. On the sail out we passed many fishing boats in the bay.
