2019 03 10 | Cairns - Judy & Bob’s Travels

March 10, 2019

We awoke in Cairns today and went on a tour to Kuranda up in the rain forest and then took the Kuranda Scenic Railway, for 23 miles descending 1,072 feet down the Barron River Valley to Fresh Water Station. Along the way we stopped at Barron Falls and passed Stoney Creek Falls and had many views of the valley below. The railway also went through 15 tunnels and over 55 bridges. Our sail out of Cairns passed by the many tour boats that go to the Great Barrier Reef.
