Today we were docked in Papeete on the Island of Tahiti in French Polynesia and were greeted by some local musicians . We toured the west side of the island stopping first at the National Museum to see some of the local art work and photography of the island. We then went to the Vaiphai Garden that featured many colorful tropical plants and a stunning waterfall. Next on our trip was the Fern Grotto, a cave pool covered on the outside with ferns. Our final stop was at the Arahurahu Marae an ancient ceremonial site.
