Today we stoped at Pitcairn Island, a very small jagged and steep island in the South Pacific. The Island is where the mutineers of the HMS Bounty burned their ship and took up residence. Current Pitcairn Islanders are largely lineal descendants of the mutineers, as exhibited by some of their surnames. Here the islanders came out to our ship on their long boat bringing crafts, stamps and artwork for us to buy.
