Today we visited our first Port of Call, Santa Marta, Columbia. Our mooring was on the coal pier which was cleared for us. Since we have been here before, we decided to walk down the beach via the Malecon or boardwalk.

Along the way are many small fishing boats that are in various states of repair. The beach area is also famous for its’ beach vendors that sell all sorts of items. There are also several monuments that depict some of the original inhabitants and a large one of Simon Bolivar. We sailed out of the harbor just before sunset and headed west.
