On This Day . . .

On April 16, 2018, we entered the Gambia River and proceeded to dock on a island pier in the City of Banjul, the capital of The Gambia. The river area was very busy with ferries, water taxis and private  boats coming and going from the city from other parts of there river. Shortly after we docked vendors with hand carts started arriving on the dock to set up their crafts. 

There were also local musicians and dancers that entertained us through there day. As we left at 6:30 the sun was setting and the dust in the air gave the city an orange aurora.
