On This Day . . .
On March 3, 2018, we were docked at Puerto Princesa in the Philippines. It is a city located in the western province of Palawan, and westernmost city in the Philippines. There was a shuttle that went to a Robinson's Mall and then to the Plaza Cuartel. We stopped briefly at the mall and then went to the Plaza. Just outside the plaza was the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, a very beautiful church that is decorated in blue and white. The angular structure departs from most churches in other parts of the Philippines, providing visitors with an interesting glimpse of unconventional religious structure.
In the park there was a craftsman weaving placemats and table runners made out of reeds. There were also some teens in traditional outfits and some tricycles decorated in flowers.
As we left the port, we were treated to a Bon Voyage send off by the locals and another awesome sunset.
