On This Day . . .
On February 6, 2018, we docked in Port Chalmers, the port for Dunedin, New Zealand, which lies about 7 miles away. We took the shuttle into Dunedin where we got tickets for the for the Hop on Hop off Bus. Our ticket was for 12:00 noon , so we went over to the Octagon (town square) to see the Town Hall and St. Pauls Cathedral. At noon we boarded the bus and took off to tour the town, the worlds steepest street, Atago University and finally the rail road station. At the station we got off and explored more of the town on our own before returning to the ship. As we sailed out of the harbor we saw a large Albatross colony and the Talaroa Head light.
