On This Day . . .
On February 03, 2018, we docked in Tauranga, New Zealand which is the gateway to Rotorua. We had a private tour which took us to the town of Rotorua, known for its geothermal activity and Tia Puia, the center for New Zealand's Māori culture and geothermal wonders. Here we saw the Pohutu Geyser, mud pots as well as a local cultural show. We also observed Maori artisans producing their traditional crafts. We then went to the redwood forest with was planted in 1915. On our way back to the ship we stopped at a Kiwi fruit orchard.
