On April 18, 2017, we docked in Funchal on the island of Madeira, our last port on this cruise. The ship was docked just across from the main town of Funchal. We took a shuttle into Funchal and boarded the Hop on Hop off Bus, that toured the town and went to a small fishing village, Camara de Lobos. Madeira is a mountainous island that is covered with terraced gardens which have mostly bananas in them. The fishing village is in a small cove with many colorful boats and waterfront restaurants.
