The tour we took started by going up to the Inasayama Nature Park, on Mt. Inasayama, with its’ panoramic views of the city below. There was also a view of the Nagasaki Peace Memorial from the lookout. Our next stop was at the Nagasaki Peace Park, established in 1955, and near to the hypocenter of the explosion with the 10-meter-tall Peace Statue created by sculptor Seibo Kitamura. We returned to the ship passing through the bustling city with its many trolleys and colorful buildings. As we left the port we were treated to the Taiko Drums as the sun slowly set.
