February 12, 2017, found us docked in Osaka, where we spent 2 days. On the first day we took a tour to three outlying towns of Fushimi, Uji & Nara. As we left downtown Osaka, we passed the Osaka Castle and then traveled past the country side to our first stop, a Sake brewery and museum in Fushimi. We traveled on to to the Byodin Temple in Uji. At our final destination Nara, we first visited the Todaiji Temple, with its’ many deer that roam free on the grounds and then to the Kasuga Taisha Shrine. The shrine has over 3,000 lanterns which were being lit as we were leaving at the end of the day.
