On the 23 of February, 2016, we docked in Benoa, on the island of Bali in Indonesia. Upon leaving the ship we were greeted by a band and dancers dressed in traditional dress. On this day we ventured to the Tengan Aga Village, which is home to the descendants of the original Bali inhabitants. The town is laid out with a North-South road with buildings opening to that street. Now a tourist town, the homes had crafts for sale and there were many street vendors at the entrance. We had lunch at the Rama Candidasa Resort that looks over the clear blue waters of Bali. After lunch we toured through many Rice Fields on our way to the Tirtagangga water garden, a water palace built in 1948 by the Raja of Karangasem. The garden features an eleven tiered fountain, many beautiful carvings and statues that are carefully situated throughout the gardens. As we returned to the ship we passed some large monuments in the roundabouts that were dedicated to some of the many Hindu Gods.
