On This Day . . .
On February 22, 2015, we took the shuttle to the town hall in Fremantle, where we went to the Fremantle Market. The market was divided into 2 sections, one a dry goods market and the other was a food market. We then hopped on the tourist trolley to see the rest of the town. The first stop was at the railway station where we got off the train from Perth yesterday. Here we had a view of the Maritime Museum. We then saw several victorian stone buildings, many of which, including the prison, were built by the original convicts as this town was primarily started as a penal colony. We wound up at the fishing boat harbor in time for lunch. On our way back to town hall we passed the chiseled artwork on the side of the Norfolk Hotel.
