On This Day . . .

We docked in Port Klang, Malaysia on March 6, 2015, the gateway to Kuala Lumpur. Located 30 miles inland from Port Klang, Kuala Lumpur is the national capital of Malaysia. Our first stop was to the National Museum with its exhibits of Malaysian life and history. We then traveled to the New King’s Palace located just outside the city. Here you get to see the outside of the palace and the guards that are at the entrance. From there we went to Independence Square where the many government buildings surround an old Cricket field. Leaving the square we went to the icon of the city, the Petronas Towers. Our final destination was to Chinatown where we walked the narrow streets.
