On March 4, 2015, we arrived in the island country of Singapore for an overnight stay. Our day began with a shuttle ride through the main part of Singapore to the Suntec Center were we boarded the Hop on Hop off bus to tour the city. On the route through the city we passed Little India, with its colonial architecture. Another area we passed thru was Chinatown all decorated for the year of the Goat. Singapore has both old and new buildings, with each new one trying to outdo the others in style. Some include the Raffles Hotel, a building with plants cascading down from its balconies and the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
