We arrived at the southern tip of Africa on April 1, 2014, and docked in Cape Town. Today we decided to go to see the Cape of Good Hope on the southern tip of Africa. We started out in Cape Town passing a lighthouse as we proceeded down the west coast. On the way we passed through small towns and villages including some of the “informal housing” areas. We drove along cliffs that hugged the coast and in and out of many bays. We finally reached Cape Point where we took a funicular to the lighthouse which had a magnificent view of the Cape of Good Hope. After leaving the cape, we went to Boulders Bay to see African Penguins. We then returned to Cape Town along the East Coast passing False Bay and finally visiting the Kirstenbosch National Botanic Gardens to seem many of the endemic plants of South Africa.
