The small fishing village of Manzanillo, Mexico was our port of call on February 1, 2013. Here there is another long pier to travel to get to the center of town. The walk is about 10 minutes. The main feature of the town is a large sailfish sculpture that is in the main square along the Malecon (seaside walkway). Our ship was greeted by some local folkloric dancers that performed on the pier for most of the morning. Besides being a fishing village, Manzanillo also has a large container port and a base for the Mexican Navy.
