On April 16, 2012 we anchored off of Korčula in Croatia in the Peljeski Channel. The weather was overcast in the morning, so we decided to wait until there was no longer a need for tender tickets to go ashore. At 10:30 AM we were ready to go ashore when sheets of rain started to fall. We waited until 1:30 PM and decided that we would brave the elements and go ashore. It was still raining as we disembarked the tender but it subsided about 5 minutes later.
We spent 2 hours exploring the old town with its narrow streets and 14th/15th century buildings. The center and highest point of the old town is St. Mark’s Cathedral. We also went past the Marco Polo House, Revelin Gate and the Large Governor’s Tower.
