We arrived in Funchal after 1 day at sea. Today we took the shuttle bus into town and proceeded to the cable car on the other side of town. We took the cable car up to the town of Monte where we went into the church and explored the different vistas along the trails. We then returned to Funchal in the cable car and started to explore the streets when we found out that the annual street flower festival began that day.
