We docked in the port of Ravenna, Italy, but our tour took us to the Republic of San Marino. San Marino is the world’s oldest surviving republic situated in the inland part of and totally surrounded by Italy. The republic is located on the tops of Mt. Titano, where we went and Mt. Feretrio. Our bus let us off at the base of the town of San Marino. We then proceeded to climb up the hilly streets for spectacular countryside views and architectural designs of the different buildings, including 3 watch towers.
