The port of Lapari is one of the 7 inhabited Aeolian Islands off the coast Sicily. On the way in we passed a large pumice quarry on the island. Once at our anchorage, we tendered into Marina Corta, the town’s fishing marina. To get to our tour bus we had to walk up a hill in the town and then down to the hill to Marina Lunga.

We boarded our bus and proceeded to tour the island. Our first stop was an over look of the town and then we went to an overlook to view Vulcano Island and snow capped Mt. Etna on the mainland of Sicily. We proceed around the rest of the island stopping in a small fishing village (Canneto). On our return to Lipari, we took some time to walk the streets before returning to the tender and back to the ship.
