Today’s adventure took us to the Timanfaya National Park to view the volcanic landscape. We left the port of Arrrecife and headed to the national park, where our first stop was a camel ride up the slopes of a volcano cone. After the ride we went to the grape growing region to see the grapes growing in lava depressions.
We then proceeded to the national park demo area where geothermal activity can be observed. Our bus then took us on the “Road of the Volcanoes” to view this lunar like landscape.
