Todays stop was Almería, Spain. The Maasdam docked right in town and there was a good view of the Alcazaba Fortress that overlooked the town. We ventured into Almería and wandered up and down the narrow streets. We first stopped at The Cathedral and took a self guided tour of the courtyard and interior. Walking deeper into the town we arrived at the main street, Paseo de Almería, and the San Sebastian Church. We then went up the hill to The Plaza de Toros. We returned to the main street and walked over to Avenida Federico Garcia Lorca (Almería’s Ramblas) before returning to the ship.
