We docked in the port of Livorno. From there we traveled to the city of Florence. It rained most of the day while we were there. Our first stop was to see the Ponte Vecchio Bridge with its famous gold stalls. From there we went to the straw market and rubbed the snout of Porcellino the Wild Boar for luck. We passed Republic Plaza on our way to The Duomo. Our next stop was the Medici-Riccardi Palace and the back down towards the river to the Piazza della Signoria. Here we saw Palazzo Vecchio, Famous sculptures & the Uffizi gallery. We wound up the day at Santa Croce church.
