On This Day . . .
On our second day in Auckland, we went to the Kelly Tarlton’s Sea Aquarium. The aquarium is located on the banks of the Waitemata Harbor just outside of Auckland. The aquarium is housed completely underground in old unused storage tunnels. The aquarium is divided into sections the two main ones being the Antarctic Encounter and the Underwater World. In the Antarctic Encounter there are Gentoo and King Penguins. In the Underwater World, you walk through a tunnel with the fish swimming all around. In another section there were smaller tanks with different types of sea creatures.
